English: This manuscript assembles about 700 documents from the years 814-1242, which concern the administration of the Chapter and the Cathedral of Lausanne. The compilation of the cartulary began around 1202 and was completed in 1242; 5 files, dated 1250-1294, were added later. The material structure of the manuscript is very complex because of numerous additions to the original core, which corresponds to the Livre censier du Chapitre cathédral de Lausanne of about 1202. The manuscript contains various texts: the Annals of Lausanne, a topographic cartulary, a chronological register, two chronicles, an urbarium, the Chronicle of the Bishops of Lausanne and the Cathedral’s necrology. The author of this valuable collection is Conon d’Estavayer (before 1200-1243/1244), who became Dean of the Cathedral in 1202. From 1216 until 1242, he directly supervised the editing of the manuscript and the organization of the documents.

Seine Zusammenstellung begann gegen 1202 und wurde 1242 abgeschlossen; 5 Akten, die von 1250-1294 datiert sind, wurden später hinzugefügt. La compilation du Cartulaire commence vers 1202, pour s’achever en 1242 ; cinq actes dont les dates vont de 1250 à 1294 ont été ajoutés ultérieurement au recueil. La structure matérielle du manuscrit est très complexe, en raison du nombre d’ajouts successifs au noyau initial, qui correspond au Livre censier du Chapitre cathédral de Lausanne, rédigé vers 1202. Le manuscrit contient des textes hétérogènes : les Annales de Lausanne, un cartulaire topographique, un registre chronologique, deux chroniques, un pouillé, la chronique des évêques de Lausanne et le nécrologe de la cathédrale. L’auteur de ce précieux recueil est Conon d’Estavayer (avant 1200-1243/1244), devenu prévôt du Chapitre cathédral de Lausanne en 1202. De 1216 à 1242, il supervise directement la rédaction du Cartulaire et l’ordonnance des documents.

La compilazione del Cartulario si protrae per circa quarant’anni, dal 1202 al 1242; dopo questa data, altri cinque atti datati dal 1250 al 1294 sono stati aggiunti alla raccolta. La struttura materiale del manoscritto è molto complessa a causa delle numerose aggiunte al nucleo originario che corrisponde al Livre censier du Chapitre cathédral de Lausanne, la cui composizione risale al 1202 circa. Il manoscritto contiene testi di varia natura: un registro di beni del Capitolo, un cartulario topografico, un registro cronologico, due cronache, un registro delle chiese della diocesi, la cronaca dei vescovi di Losanna, il necrologio della cattedrale. L’autore di questa preziosa raccolta è Conon d’Estavayer (ante 1200-1243/1244), divenuto decano del Capitolo cattedrale nel 1202, che dal 1216 al 1242 sovrintende direttamente la redazione del manoscritto e l’ordinamento dei documenti. |
