Карстен Ерік Олсен (англ. Carsten Erik Olsen; нар. 1 березня 1891(18910301) - пом. 19 серпня 1974) — данський еколог рослин і фізіолог рослин, який вперше вивчав живлення рослин у ґрунтах з різним рН.

Біографія[ред. | ред. код]

Він народився в Копенгагені і розпочав вивчення ботаніки в Університеті Копенгагена в 1910 році спочатку у професора Євгенія Уормінга, потім у професора Крістен Раункер. Його докторська дисертація (1921) стосувалася впливу рН ґрунту на природний розподіл рослин. Потім він влаштувався в лабораторію Карлсберга на посаду асистента хіміка SPL Серенсена, пізніше відкрив власну лабораторію. Там він працював над поглинанням рослинами іонів, особливо заліза, фіксації азоту та накипними рослинами. [3]
