Thank you for this entry. However.. The article suggests there was not a church in this village before 1897 which (according to my knowledge) is false. For example: there was a parish in Jasionowce in the 18th century. Can you provide additional information on the history of the church..? Before 1897..? I will be grateful for this. I can also help and provide my own data and sources. I have got an old photo of the place and it was taken in 1914. I am Polish, of Ukrainian descent. My family roots are in this very village :) --Riva72 12:59, 30 квітня 2010 (UTC)
Hi, my name is Oksana and I live in Iasenivtsi. I am from Iasenivtsi and I would like to know more about the church in my village. If you have got a lot of information about our church, please write it. I know our church was catholic. But our priest is orthodox and he said that it was orthodox too. Is it true? I would be very gratefull for your answer.
- Oksana, I have come across this information: There was a greek catholic church or an orthodox church in Iasenivtsi in the year of 1882, according to the entry in the Słownik Geograficzny Królestwa Polskiego. The entry does not inform whether it was the greek catholic or the orthodox church as it refers to this church as a https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cerkiew_(budynek). The third volume of this dictionary was published in 1882. You can read there that the roman catholics who lived in Iasenivtsi belonged to the roman catholic parish in Золочів. The greek catholic parish was in Iasenivtsi. You can read the entire entry on this village here: Jasienowce--Riva72 (обговорення) 11:54, 26 липня 2013 (UTC). - Thank you very much for your answer. I don't hope to get it. I know from a lot of people, who live here, in Iasenivtsi, that our church is a greek catholic one. Only our prist belongs to the Russian church and he said that it's an orthodox. I am from Iasenivtsi and I know, there are people in Zalisia, who bears surname 'Іванців'. But now I'm in Poland. I will go to Ukraine on the 12-th of October and I will try to help you to find your relatives.
